We provide mergers, acquisitions and operations consulting services to private companies, family offices, private equity funds and their portfolio companies. With over four decades of experience, our founder has broad experience in complex financial, corporate and real estate transactions over cycles, industries and geographies. Our team members have additional experience in operations, finance, tax structuring, information technology, risk management and fraud/anti-money laundering investigations.
Our Philosophy
Our mandate is to “do good.” One way we do that is to provide highly personal attention to our clients and to work closely with them to meet their individual needs. Our select group of clients allows us to hand-pick the ventures into which we invest our time and capital. Private capital investing can result in significant capital appreciation, but requires specialized experience in order to properly investigate, analyze, evaluate, negotiate, structure, manage and monitor every private investment opportunity.
Our focus on private transactions allows to pay attention to the effects of our investment decisions. In all cases our investments are measured by the standard to “do good”: for our clients, for our portfolio of investments and for the communities in which they are located.
Investors who recognize the value of diversification have moved towards private capital investments as a valuable hedge against the risk of loss from a significant correction in the inflated and volatile public markets. Private capital investments can be the most interesting investment in a diversified portfolio.
Our Founder
Kurt A. Krieger has over 40 years of experience advising on mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and regulatory matters.
He was a Founding Member, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Executive Director of HGGC, LLC, a middle-market private equity firm. Mr. Krieger was a member of the Investment Committees of HGGC’s Funds II, III and IV. His responsibilities also included working on legal and compliance matters with the fund’s portfolio companies as well has monitoring risk management practices. He served on the board of a number of HGGC portfolio companies. In addition, he served as a Director of the firm’s charitable vehicle, the Capital Impact Foundation. He also works closely with the private equity operations team at Operational Resource Group, LLC.
Prior to joining HGGC, Mr. Krieger was an International Legal Counsel for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, residing in Accra, Ghana, and then Mexico City, Mexico, responsible for legal affairs and governmental relations for the Church in Africa and then Mexico.
Mr. Krieger’s legal career started in his hometown of Portland, Oregon, where he worked at Miller Nash on municipal finance, corporate and securities transactions. He moved to Marriott Corporation as a member of the team that handled hotel acquisitions, operations, and franchising. After leaving Marriott in 1990, he continued his legal work representing a variety of clients, including private equity funds and their portfolio companies, as well as founding KriegerCo.
Mr. Krieger was graduated from Brigham Young University and obtained his J.D. cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark, Jr., Law School at BYU.

Private capital investments
We make investments for our own account in the acquisition, expansion and recapitalization of business enterprises with a significant competitive advantage. We also invest in real estate and other opportunities. Our level of investment varies from minority positions, assisting the existing owners with a financial or operational need, to control acquisitions. The securities may be debt, equity or a combination of both. Our approach is as an owner with a long-term view of each investment and its place in the market; yet we carefully evaluate every opportunity to harvest our investments.

Charitable giving
We seek to expand our mandate to “do good” by supporting various charitable efforts around the world. Our support is both financial as well as operational. We find that the resources available to our consulting and investing clients have assisted charitable organizations multiply their efforts to do good.
